SESP conducted the final Round Table under the Tracking Employment Opportunities in Times of Crisis Project, implemented by SESP with financial support of GTZ, on 8th of April at Donetsk Oblast Employment Centre. The Round Table was held during two days Symposium on exchange of experience in facilitating economic development and employment based on long-term partnership with German Employment Services.

Deputy Head of Donetsk Oblast State Administration Boris Adamov, Advisor of the Head of Donetsk Oblast Council Marina Cherenkova, Coordinator of the GTZ Economic Development and Employment Assistance Project Larisa Ivashechkina, representatives of the National Employment Service, of Employment Services from Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Chernovtsy, Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts, city of Sevastopol as well as representatives of society and mass media took part in the Symposium.

SESP presented to participants of the Round Table results of Tracking Employment Opportunities in Times of Crisis Project on its two components - “Ensuring Efficient Small Business Support in Donetsk Region” and “Innovative Employment and Self-Employment Generation Technologies for Donetsk Region”. Mentorship as an efficient tool to support start-up entrepreneurs and control use of allocated funds as well as social entrepreneurship as an employment opportunity for categories of the population which are most put aside from the labour market including disabled population arose a keen interest and vivid discussions of attendees. Participants also stressed importance of social partnership as well as of cooperation between employment centres, local authorities, business and civil society organisations established on the base of such efficient permanent partnership in solving unemployment problem.
